The WSC10P6 is a monolithic 10.3Gbps Burst-mode laser driver and 10.3Gbps limiting post amplifier combined together with a fully programmable microcontroller unit manufactured in an advanced CMOS process.The WSC10P6transmitter section includes an integrated digital burst capable ‘dual-loop’ APC and Extinction Ratio ( ER) control, adjustable Input equalisation, programmable output eye shaping control and transmit signal detect.The WSC10P6receiver limiting amplifier section has high sensitivity supporting a wide range of BOSAs, together with digitally configurable input equalisation and output pre-emphasis to deliver optimum system performance.Featuring an on- chip 8 0 5 1 based microcontroller unit with code memory that is pre-programmed with embedded firmware. Including an autoranging ADC, the WSC10P6 integrates all major functions to implement a DDMI compliant PON ONU transceiver with no major additional external components.The WSC10P6 operates from a +3.3V supply over an operating temperature range from -40°C to +95°C.The WSC10P6 is packaged in a compact 4mm x4mm, 32 pin QFN package and pin compatible with GN28L96 and UX336x 10G-PON Combo ICs.
